The transit house in Poiana, about 7 km from Marghita, was opened in the summer of 2001, with rooms for six young people. The home had a large garden with room for chickens, rabbits and dogs. In 2009, the transit home in Poiana became a family home for children of mixed ages and in 2014 the family moved to a newly built house in Marghita. The family home was then named Poiana Verde. The buildings in the village of Poiana are now used as homes for families who have been homeless. The construction of the new family home, Poiana Verde, became possible thanks to fantastic voluntary efforts from Sweden, earmarked donations and donated building materials. Since 2016, Ghița and Adela Podina are family home parents and five children live in the home right now.
