FCE’s first transit home was opened in Marghita in 1998 with five locations. Two ”generations” of boys lived in the old house before the newly built transit home was opened in 2001. Since 2010, Casa Marghita is a family home for children of different ages. Nicu and Mariana Lazar moved in as parents and stayed until 2016 when Cristi and Roxana Lung took over. About 30 boys have lived in the home since the opening. Renovations and extensions have been made over the years and the five boys who live here have their own rooms.
